Were Looking for a Backend Developer (Node.js / GraphQL / SQL)

Were seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, GraphQL, and SQL databases. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating modern backend architecture, works autonomously, and brings a proactive mindset to a dynamic, collaborative environment. This role involves building scalable backend services and contributing across a broad technical ecosystem.

What Youll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js

• Design and implement GraphQL schemas, resolvers, and queries

• Work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL): queries, optimization, and data modeling

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs in addition to GraphQL

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable backend solutions

• Work within AWS environments, including CLI interactions

• Participate in backend scripting and automation using Bash/Unix/Linux

• Contribute to development workflows in Git, including monorepo environments (Nx, Lerna, etc.)

• Support best practices around backend architecture, performance, and security

• Troubleshoot issues, detect bottlenecks, and help ensure high-quality service performance

What You Bring

Must-Haves

• Strong professional experience with Node.js

• Solid knowledge of GraphQL (schema design, resolvers, API integration)

• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)

• Familiarity with REST API design and integration

• Strong understanding of backend fundamentals, debugging, and performance optimization

• Experience working in collaborative, fast-moving environments

• Clear and effective communication skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with TypeScript, NestJS, or TypeORM

• Exposure to Spring (helpful for cross-stack collaboration)

• Familiarity with Terraform, Terragrunt, or other IaC tools

• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native development

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

• Basic experience with Docker

• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or CloudWatch

• Some exposure to React for occasional frontend collaboration
